Pioneer Living History Museum

Investigators: Grace, John, Sabrina, David, Karen
Guests: Todd the caretaker, Lauri, Gina, Dave, Jean, Toni, Marc
I contacted the Pioneer Museum to do another investigation there. John and I had been there before. And always felt that the energy was very active.
These are reports from my other team members.
By David: Pioneer Living History Museum boasts the largest collection of original and reproduction 19th century buildings in the state of Arizona. Our intrepid team of ghost hunters descended upon the museum armed with our electronic equipment to try to capture irrefutable evidence of paranormal goings-on among the old buildings.
Accompanied by the museum's ever-helpful caretaker Todd, we placed equipment in and visited every building on the premises, an affair that took us to the wee hours of the morning.
Of greatest interest to devotes of the paranormal is the 19th century opera house, originally from Prescott, Arizona and painstakingly reconstructed stone-by-stone at its new location at the Museum. Full-body apparitions and ghostly sounds and voices have been reported at this location.
Several members of our team placed recorders and video cameras at the opera house, hoping to catch evidence of spirit activity at the old building, perhaps a bit of ectoplasm on film or the ghostly groan of a malevolent spirit on our voice recorders tel us investigators to "GET OUT!" Unfortunately for myself I was unable to get anything on tape or film anything resembling ghostly presence.
Nary a ghoul, disembodied entity or departed person's restless spirit anywhere in sight, this despite my having run several hours of video and tape at the location. A rhythmic thumping in the opera house captured on my tape recorder did get my hopes up for a while; but it turned out to be a pair of bats that kept flying into the cardboard fireplace my recorder was resting upon. I did manage to get a soprano female voice on tape saying "YOO-HOO" or something like that in the opera house but since our group was milling about nearby I cannot categorically say that the voice was a true EVP (Oh Darn!).
Some of our team members did get a few orbs and blobs on film, and our team psychic John did report some impressions of former residents of the buildings. Since I am not even mildly psychic I have to rely solely on electronic equipment for all evidence for ghostly activity. In fact the only thing that was even close to supernatural at Pioneer Living History Museum was the heat, even at 2 in the morning it was close to 100 degrees, and even hotter inside the old buildings.
But despite my inability to capture entities on film or tape we had a great time, it was well worth it to see the wonderful buildings and artifacts from Arizona's past. The staff at Pioneer Living History Museum was so helpful and accommodating that I vowed to myself to return to the Museum to see the activities and displays at some time in the future, hopefully when the outdoor temperatures go down a bit.
Sabrina Report:
Upon arrival, we proceeded to look around, and get to know the area. I was very intrigued by everything around me, and was listening to our guide Todd, to tell us a little of the history of the Pioneer Living History Museum . My investigation partner (Marc) and I decided to investigate the church. As we approached the church, I got and uneasy feeling. I felt as though I was disturbing a ceremony. When we got closer to the site, both of us were very quiet, and proceeded with respect. Marc and I went straight to the Teacherage, and Marc said he could feel that we were not alone.
When we went to the school, I was very uneasy, and felt like there was a little girl in the area. The little girl was around 6 years old. She was wearing a long white dress, and had blonde curly hair. She was running around and playing as children do. I felt as though she was very ill when she died, and continues her life as if she were still in school. Marc said he had a very uneasy and disturbing feeling about the school, as if there were a lot of eyes looking at us. At that point we decided to leave the school.
On the way back, we met up with the rest of our group, and decided to go back to base camp to get all of the equipment ready for the night. As night fell, and we were getting our equipment together, I felt as if all of the spirits were getting ready to start there day. We all decided to go as a group and explore the area. As the group left, John and I decided to stay behind a little. While I walked with John, I started to see images of the little girl, an older woman, a little old black woman, a very domineering man, and a little baby. I did not know what this meant yet, but I was soon going to find out.
We proceeded to walk to the Victorian House, and I found it to be a very depressing place, but yet happy also. I personally did not get any other feelings in that area, but I do know Grace, Laurie, and John were picking up on other feelings in that area.
We proceeded to walk to the Farm House, and I kept my eye on the gazebo that was in the distance. I can feel that there is something more to this area, and would love to know more about what had happened there. As John and I walked towards the Farm House, I got a feeling that one of the images that I saw earlier was about to come true. I felt the domineering man was in this house, and I got the feeling that he was over bearing, almost as if he ruled the roost.
There was a feeling of a lot of abuse towards the little girl in the home, and I felt that the mother knew about the abuse and did nothing about the situation. As I walked through the little girl’s room, I felt angry and sad. While I was in the room, I was pushed twice as if to tell me to get out of her room.
I walked the rest of the house and got a feeling that the man did not want us there. I went outside and just felt sadness. I continued to take pictures, and as the group moved on, the pressure of a million people on top of you went away.
As we walked by the gazebo, I could feel a lot of energy in that area. The group continued on, and I went back to base camp for water. John, Karen, and I took a rest and then continued back. On the way back, we noticed that the bank was open. We proceeded to take pictures.
John asked Karen and I, what name if any that we got, and almost simultaneously, Karen and I said “Lily”. Karen and I were on the same wave length and it was great. We could feel the energy around us, and when I took pictures, the camera took the pictures at random. When John took pictures, they were half blurry. Karen did not have any problems taking pictures.
We continued to walk and made our way back to the church were the rest of the group was located. I took pictures of the Teacherage and the school that I had visited earlier. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the 6 year old little girl again, running around as if she were still in school. As John had finished in the church, he went back in with Jean and I.
We took more pictures inside the church. I saw, and could feel the little black woman sitting in the last pillar of the church. She looked as though she was praying and listening to a sermon. As we left, I felt that we were disturbing church, and when we walked out, I felt better. We proceeded to the Northern House. While I was there, I got the feeling that there were a lot of kids there. It almost felt as if I were home.
Once finished at the Northern House, we decided to walk to the cabins. The only members of our group that went in were John, Grace, Laurie, Gina, Jean, and I. The first cabin “Ranch Complex” was very small, yet mysterious. I felt that someone had been abused in this cabin. I went in, but quickly retreated. I stayed outside with Laurie, and didn’t want to be there.
We proceeded to the next cabin which was called the “Flying V”. I really could not get any feelings from this location except that it felt calm. I am not sure why I could not get any feelings at this location. On thing that did intrigue me at this location was, in the distance, I could see a man who was not happy, looking at us. The last cabin we visited was the “Ashurst” cabin.
Now I felt a very uneasy feeling, and could feel that someone did not want us there. As I took pictures, I felt that there was a little baby in the room, and did not know what this meant. As we were finishing up, Grace took a picture, and right behind John and I, was a very angry face.
Now as we finished up and daylight came, I could see this peaceful place light up with the light of a new day. The Pioneer Living History Museum has so many secrets to unveil. I found it to be very intriguing and mysterious, and can only wonder what the next visit will bring
I would like to add that I would encourage anyone to visits the Pioneer Living History Museum. This place has a lot of authentic buildings and the history of where they came from. Our investigation there gave us some evp. And a few great pictures of spirits that we captured. And I would like to thank Todd the caretaker for being such a great host. And all the people who run the Pioneer Living History Museum.
